Hi, I have a 14 week old bengal kitten named Yumi and have been sticking to a raw food diet after doing some research. I have been feeding her mainly liver, chicken hearts and giblets from the local super market and I trialed her on giving her chicken necks last night. I chopped them into small pieces about 10-15mm long but still large enough to give her teeth a work out.
I fed them to her about 6pm last night and she started choking a bit and vomiting for the first time at 6am the morning after.
Had anyone else had issues with chicken necks?
Im worried sick for my little baby and I don't want to leave her alone in case she chokes again.

Welcome to our forum and congratulations on your baby. Please read the topic on Raw Feeding in this forum. I'm guessing your breeder was also feeding raw. The breeder can provide you with a recipe. Know cats have nutritional requirements and you need to get the recipe right. Remember, your baby has kitten teeth (which she will lose as she grows) and they may not be strong enough to tear through the bone and you definitely do not want a bone shard going through the digestive tract. Bones have calcium which bengals require -- but so do crushed eggshells. Please check with your breeder. And never feel ridiculous in asking questions. They are usually happy to help a new owner out. Once you get the raw diet down, it will be so much easier for you to enjoy your baby!
