Anybody use this; know anything about it???? Good or bad for Bengals??

I just checked their website and did their survey and I honestly am going to try this product. I always walk by the refrigerated pet food at the store, but I think I'll pick up the chicken and beef and try it out. It is probably expensive, but if the cats love it ... who cares.

Sherry; my Bengal baby loves it and devoured her food for the very first time. I will feed her this if it is good for them;) it seems legit reading the label to me;)??

I have not been able to find the ingredients on their website, but it should contain the essential vitamins and supplements a cat requires.

They make it pretty difficult to find their ingredients and nutritional info, which in itself could be telling.

On paper it looks really good, but I've become so mistrustful of nutritional info that I'd have to see it and smell it with my own eyes/nose before I trusted it. And I'm doubly skeptical of stuff that is sold in the grocery stores or "big box" pet stores (because that implies that we're probably dealing with some big conglomerate type of business producing it).

The other thing is that I'm not sure I'd necessarily want to buy refrigerated cat food. Not sure it makes sense to do that. How long do you figure that stuff would last before spoiling? And how long has it been sitting in the pet store? Logistically it sounds like a nightmare. Buying stuff frozen and defrosting it when you need it makes more intuitive sense to me.

I may give it a try though, maybe they've pumped it so full of preservatives that it will last forever, lol. Thanks for posting it here it's always good to hear about new offerings for cats.

The package says it’s only good for 5 days once opened so it definitely doesn’t last long. I’m always scepticle on anything I feed my baby girl. She deserves top of the line. But always look for fun and new tasteful options for her

I purchased some yesterday at the pet store. The ingredients are chicken, chicken broth, beef, chicken liver and egg. I didn't read that you must use it within 5 days of opening. The expiration date is January 2019 so I haven't opened it yet since I figured I would have to use it up immediately. I have two cats and I picked up some new food to try and so far, the two types I've tried, have not been a big success. I need the cats to clean the dishes like maniacs. At least the bengal will eat a little of it -- the other one has just turned his nose up. Still have lots of "trying it out" to go.

I tried the fresh pet vital last week. The first thing when you notice when you open it, is it doesn't look like food. It looks like play-doh (for those old enough to understand that reference). Scarily-smooth, and oddly colored, my distrust level spiked immediately. But I fed it to my 3 cats and my one "outdoor kitty". The verdict (from them): 2 of 4 paws up. Sadie (my outdoor kitty) devoured her portion, and Gaga seemed to like it ok (although showed initial distrust of it). Serafina and Neytiri pronounced it to be "definitely not food", and walked away from it. For me, personally, I just don't want to feed unrecognizable gruel to my cats as a staple. I want to be able to look at, and smell the food, and see recognizable things in there, like shreds of meat, sauce, or the occasional vegetable (but few of those ideally), so I probably won't be re-buying that stuff, although it was a worthy experiment to try.

Has anyone else tried it yet?

Mine is still unopened in the fridge, although I will be trying it within a week. I wanted to test out the other foods that I bought -- which were a huge bust except for Royal Canin Sensitive Digest. Both cans were devoured. I truly doubt I would feed the FreshPet Vital on a regular basis. But, I'm open to try anything new. I was only $4.99 at Petco and I've wasted hundreds of dollars on pet food the cats would not touch so I'm not worried about $5. Once I open and feed it, I'll let you know the outcome. Right now, Raiden isn't feeling that well and back to vomiting regularly, so we are medication for that. Hopefully he will be better next week and can try this stuff. His appetite isn't great at the moment.

Okay, I opened this today hoping Raiden might want eat some. It looks like bologna to me. Raiden was not impressed. He sniffed and sniffed it, but he is still not eating much. Legs came and ate some of it, but he had just eaten food at the park where I feed the neighborhood stray cats. The package says to use within seven days. If its not gone by then, I'll put it out for the raccoons as they will eat anything and everything.

This is not a huge hit at my house. Raiden has started eating again and sniffed at this a little this morning. I put some in his mouth and he did eat about half of what I put in the bowl. Legs decided to lick a little, but didn't get much and it's still sitting in a bowl in the kitchen. So, I call this a bust for my cats. I did happen to find the display at Walmart where the price is so much cheaper, but I'm not going to be buying this food again.

Thanks. I was puzzling whether or not to try it. I guess I wont bother. I agree that is should look like food not some astronaut food from 2001 a Space Odyssey. Today's astronauts even know better!
