There's a lot of food out there for all life stages -- there's really no need to feed a food that specifically says kitten on the label.

Kittens do require extra nutrients -- thus the companies make kitten food. Chicken must be easily digestible since my bengal's Rx food is chicken only. As a human, I could NEVER tire of chicken. I could have it every meal of every day, in fact, I had some for dinner last night and lunch today and there's still more. I often wonder if cats need a variety -- but, some cats eat the same dry food every day of their life -- so it is what it is.

You might want to check Chewy.com as they have the ingredients listed on every food they sell -- and that way you can see what is in the kitten food and you may find something different.

I think chicken is just kind of the lowest common denominator. More cats seem to like it, and it’s supposed to be a little easier to digest and Provoke less allergies than things like fish or pork. Plus I suspect that it’s cheaper for the manufacturers to buy.

That said, I’m with 7deadly$sins, it sounds like you’ve had your Bengal for awhile, id just go ahead and transition to adult food where there is more variety and you can experiment and try to find something that your Bengal like better. There’s no point in continuing to feed a food that your cat is not liking imo.
