Are you kidding me? Most breeders use colored collars on their kittens to differentiate and know which kitten is which. I find this really unusual that a breeder would not know which kitten is yours. The whole basket full is cute and adorable, but I'd really want to know which cat is definitely the one I picked out. They do change over time while they are quickly growing.

Now, as for your older cat-- it will not be able to keep up with a bengal kitten. No way, Jose. And your bengal will have energy like a kitten the rest of its life. These older cats just aren't interested in playing and being bothered by a kitten. They may bond and adore each other, but keeping each other occupied is probably not going to happen.

The breeder uses the colored collars - but we can't see the collars in that picture. Therefore, she can't tell which one is which in the picture.

Yeah, I know my older cat won't be able to keep up with him. My older cat does like to play, and still has bursts of energy where he runs like mad throughout the house. So I'm hoping they can play a little, and be companions, maybe enough to get the Bengal through the times when I'm not home. I am planning on taking on most of the responsibility of playing with him, though. I will see how it goes, and keep in mind trying to get a second one - that's just harder, financially.

Your bengal will definitely want to play with your other cat and I hope your other kitty wants to enjoy the interaction, as well. Bengal kittens are particularly active, so having you playa major role in the play time will certainly help.

Yep, mine's the blue one! And it'll be interesting to see how my cat and the Bengal get along... I am considering how to put aside more money in case I need to get another Bengal to give my cat peace.

Great to save money for another bengal, however, it is always better to get TWO together out of the same litter to avoid problems. There is another topic on here about adding a bengal kitten when you have two older bengals. Two is company, three is a crowd could always apply. My bengal torments my other cat on occasion. My bengal is 11 and the other cat is 6. They will chase each other around the house and go crazy! They are jumping over furniture, hopping on cat trees and this happens around 3 a.m.!!! Much calmer during the day when both nap.

You simply need to wait and see how things go with these two. Hopefully, they will LOVE each other and your older cat will take your bengal kitten under its wings and just love it. If you introduce them properly, all should be well.

Yeah, but getting one of his litter mates is out of the question now, as they're all reserved. If I need another one, I hope to get another one in the first couple of months I have him - so he won't get to be too old before introducing him to a new kitten. Plus, I do have experience on slowly introducing cats to each other to ease the transition. I'm pretty good with normal cats. I know that Bengals are a bit different, but I think that I should be able to handle it. I hope. If not ... I'll be posting here a lot.

LOL. That's what we are here for. We always say "expect the worst and hope for the best." That way you won't be disappointed if things don't go well and you will be super pleased if they do. Cats can generally get along just fine.
