OMG, that just sounds terrifying and awful!

Just last night a stupid roach decided to stroll along my kitchen floor and I just about lost it. It caught me by surprise and I'm absolutely terrified of roaches, so I don't even know how many times I must have cursed at the thing.. lol. Thank goodness for having a can of bug spray in every area of the house (I am paranoid). Then OH got mad at me for dousing it in a puddle.. he always says I overdo it but he just doesn't understand! Thankfully we don't get bugs in the house often, but when we do it's like war, lol.

Still a beautiful place you have there, but when there's bugs like that NOTHING is going to get me to go out there... lol.

Whoa. That tree is amazing. I love climbing trees, but I don't think I'd be able to manage that one, probably no way to get into it besides having claws!

I'm sure you could the one huge branch is like a ramp you could walk right up. The tree is really strange there's nothing even remotely close to its size anywhere around its like a mutant or something. On the way back I saw a old cemetery I was thinking of getting some pics of him on old tombstones. Is that wrong? If not day or night pics?

Trees like this can be a bit creepy, especially in the dark! I've always thought they are more magical though, with fairies, like in Ferngully or even the one in Pocohontas? I hope a wise old owl lives in it

He's actually going in the den where the live. Normally those holes would be underwater but its very dry out right now. I'm not sure if it was abandoned but you could see the dirt was lose from something digging inside. There was another bigger den surrounded by water close by so maybe they were moving or its just their summer home.

And it is lovely for him to be outdoors as i know how much they love it and they seem to look much better in the outside sunlight/natural light.

It does concern me that he climbs trees and stuff wearing his collar. I know why you have it on but i don't think it is a 'quick release' one so could easily get stuck on a branch or something. I have heard of so many horror stories of cats getting stuck by their collars inside the home and outside

Phelan, I actually think your modification is very clever! I know exactly what type of rubber bands you're referring to, and I remember how easy they were to break. Definitely wouldn't even need the full weight of the cat to break one. I think it's great that you're always with him when outside anyway, but having a collar that's secure yet easily breakable (unlike some of the "break away" collars I've seen that aren't always so reliable) just makes it even better. Good work!

Humm I see. What about replacing the metal pin that goes through the belt holes with something like a toothpick. I'm guessing the fur never got tangled in the band right? Your idea is good because you can use any collar you want. I wasn't thinking of a one time use replaceable part. I don't like the elastic because it wears out eventually. But now we're thinking. What I was working on would just limit the possibility of choking but probably increase the likelihood of getting caught up. Its also something anyone could order as I'm getting it made. You'd never lose a break-away collar again with the tag I have some very strong neodymium magnets I pulled from laser optic drives. I build high power lasers as a hobby
