Try finding food without carrageenan. This is what I am going to try and do now as one of my cats is displaying signs of an allergy to something (albeit not bloody stools). Also I was told Slippery elm is good for intestinal problems in cats.

An update on Tia's blood in stools situation:
After a week on probiotic and being in the transition period from Royal Canin to Canagan free run chichen wet food... she hasn't had a bloody stool in 4 days!!! Happy days! I will keep her on probiotics for at least another month but I am hopeful that we won't have this problem again! Thank you for all your advice, Tia says 'Thank you' too!
