Hello fellow Bengal friends
I have 2 Bengals I love to pieces. I'm so happy with them. They are about 1.5 years old now. Zuka scratched his eye when he was young which has healed and i don't know if this is related, but he has had eye problems ever since. i have brought him to the vet many times who put us on eye drop anti-biotics numerous times which helped with the infection while on the drops, but when the drops stopped the eye would weep and be infected and squinted again. the upper inner eye lid popped out a bit and i imagine is the cause of the pussy weeping and squinted eye. i've even gone to an eye specialist now , who told me it was an eye infection, didn't matter what kind, but it should clear up with one month of 2 different antibiotics so, about 150 euro later and 4 times a day of these drops and ointments for one month.. same result as usual,,, eye looked ok while on drops but still upper inner eye lid was popping out a bit...and now the lower inner lid is joining in. does anyone know about this or what i can do? unfortunately the breeder never gave me the cat insurance she promised me so i have to pay for all these vet visits myself, which is getting pricey with no good results.... but more importantly, i want Zuka's eye healthy.. any ideas?

If I were you, I would take him to a veterinarian specializing in ophthalmology. Yes, they have them. You may not live in a large enough area for one, but where I live, we have a speciality practice that has all types of vet specialists. While many regular vets can treat eye issues ... if something is recurring or the vet is not able to help, a specialist is the way to go.
