What should I do when my Bengal cat (she is 5 years old) just started with a partially closed/swollen left eye. She seems perfectly normal, no other health issues, just started about 30 minutes ago. I did wipe her eye with a soft warm cloth, in case there was something irritating. Is there anything else I should do to help her eye from getting worse ?

Anytime you notice something "different" with your kitty it is best to take the baby to a vet and have the issue checked out, especially if it lasts more than 24 hours. We are not vet techs here and can't speculate on what might have happened to cause a swollen eye. It's possible something has gotten in there and is causing an irritation. If the eye is still swollen after 24 hours, please take your kitty to the vet. Wiping the eye with a warm cloth could cause additional irritation -- you just never know.
