The backstory: I had initially tried toilet training her but she could transition to the open hole in the toilet kit. So I switched her to an enclosed system. That was about 2 to 3 months ago. she has an extra large litter box and I keep 3 to 4 inches of good litter in there. I clean it out regularly. She jumped into it after I was done and pooped in it. Then about 30 minutes later she Peed on the floor in front of our front door.

The only thing I have not done is taking her in to be checked for a UTI. When I cleaned out her litter box she is peeing and pooping in the box. The inappropriate illumination outside of the box are puddles, not spray or dribbles. I found the mat inside my dogs kennel completely soaked with urine. I think the first port of call is a vet visit and get her checked out for a URI. If she is clear, you may find this is stress related. I had this last year with one of mine.

Is your girl indoor or outdoor? How is her relationship with your dog? There could be a new cat in the area that she is sensing and feels her territory is threatened.

My problem was the local foxes constantly invading our garden and peeing and pooing everywhere. I had Jagger checked at the vets, he was clear of a UTI so it was considered stress. I placed him on zylkene to calm him (this is just a milk protein that helps with anxiety - totally natural) and this helped him. I sorted out changing our gate and replaced fence panels etc and things are much better now. Like your girl, he would do massive puddles on the bathmat, rug and in our wood basket. He would be very agitated before doing this too. I have changed the litter we were using as well and he seems to prefer which has also helped.

Get her to the vet and then you can take it from there - oh and it might be an idea to plug in some feliway in the areas she is peeing. Hopefully you have the correct cleaner for cleaning up pee and you can also spray the area with feliway and put little bowls of food there - she won't pee where she eats.

You pretty much answered your own question -- please take her to the vet and have them check for a UTI or crystals in the urine. It's a simple test and will let you know if the inappropriate peeing is medical or behavioral. 99% of cats with a UTI will pee outside of the litter box. If everything comes back negative -- then you move on to behavioral. She seems to have plenty of litter boxes. I'm wondering if trying the toilet training didn't mess her up a little. Cats do not easily use a toilet -- they are litter box trained at the breeders and are used to using one, so your little gal may be really confused! I'm guessing you have no other pets -- oh yes, you have a dog? Do they get along or are they enemies? When a healthy cat goes outside of the litter box, it is generally stress related. So, you will have to think whether something has changed -- moved furniture? The least little thing can set off a cat. Bengals love routine and schedules.
