Echo weighed 2.2 kg (4.7 pounds) today at her vaccinations. She is 4 months old exactly. How big are your babies? Wondering how big she will get :)

Magic is 4 years old and he weighs 17 pounds.

Pearl is 1 year old and weighs 7 pounds.

Females are usually alot smaller than males.

4.7 lbs is a good weight for a female @ 4 months. I would guess she'll get to around 10-11 lbs which is right in the normal larger zone for a female. She could get to 12; seems unlikely she'd be in the 8 or 9 range in the end.

Pearl being 7 lbs is definitely on the small side. We are starting to see that more now with females getting smaller and smaller. Ideally I'd like to see a female 8 lbs on the low end and that breeders are breeding away from the smaller females - half the point of a Bengal is a larger cat!

Magic at 17 lbs is definitely a big boy! Assuming he's SBT and not overweight, he's definitely on the large side! He must certainly be a handful.

May I say that it is awesome to have OntarioBengals posting such helpful information. It seems our breeders left the forum or do not post any more. Owners ask a lot of questions and having a breeder helping out with information is great.

Raiden weighs 12.8 pounds. He's not a large boy by any means. He is long and lean. Magic must be a handful! LOL. I've got Magic and Pearl both as an F10s.

Clare, did I ever get Pearl's pedigreed name? I was just looking through my database and unless it's Jayuzuri Dream Catcher (who is a champion female), I may not have added her.

They do not come with a pedigree name, my breeder says we just choose our own name.

Then I guess Pearl is not officially registered. The registration confirms the cat is a purebred. I know Raiden was never registered until I took him -- he was six years old at the time. Should I ever decide to sell him or re-home him, the registration and pedigree proves he is a purebred bengal. I know many breeders do their own pedigrees, but they don't confirm anything. Are you able to register Pearl and Magic? If so, I would do it.

Echo's mother was very small (I would guess 7 or 8 pounds) but her father was huge. I'm looking forward to seeing how big she will get.

I don't really feel the need to register them as I will always have them, I know they are purebred because I have there pedigree papers

Unfortunately the pedigree provided by a breeder that has not been certified basically shows nothing. Anybody can create a pedigree using the software that is available. I have found pedigrees for a cat which claim different parents on each pedigree. That's a little impossible. I know that breeders do try to provide accurate information and I certainly do not doubt that Magic and Pearl's pedigrees are accurate. I'm just letting you know that without being registered with one of the registrar agencies (TICA, GCCF), a pedigree is not always worth the paper it's printed on. It cost me $12 to register Raiden with TICA. I'm sure there are a lot of unregistered purebred bengals out there -- and I will never find them all for my database.

My biggest pet peeve in my research are the breeders who only use the cat's name and not the pedigreed name or list the sire and dam of the cat. Makes it impossible for me to add them or find their F generation.
