We bought her 3rd June 2016 she was quite skinny when we bought her but she is hardly eating have been to pet store and got advice tried various food she scratches at the area around the bowl but isn't eating I tried a hills kitten food which she ate a small amount of but a little while later she was sick, we have got a vet appointment booked for Saturday afternoon we have also bought a snow Bengal last Saturday thought it would be company for each other after the first couple of days they seem happy with each other and her eating habit hasn't changed thought he might have encouraged her too eat more I have gone back to the food I was given by the breeder but she won't eat it I did get her too have a small bit of tinned salmon I do feed them separately

If she isn't eating get some kitten nutrical its a high calorie vitamin paste with taurine which you can give her and it will at least perk her up and and keep her healthier for now. It can be expensive as it's an American product but it works amazingly well. As you have to import it will take 10 working days to arrive.

The other route is get down vetcal which comes from over here but doesn't have the added taurine but you can get it a lot faster, it will give her the added vitamins as well as calories, think of it like a drip but without the liquid so it actually works cheaper and easier to use this if she isn't dehydrated. If she is dehydrated rush her to the vets.

It's always a very useful product to have in anyway for emergencies.

If a cat is burying their food it's usually one of two things if the food isn't eaten at all cats bury their food because they don't like it much like they bury any other type of waste. If the food is mostly eaten then they are saving it for later and hiding it from competitors which is ALC behaviour. As you said she isn't eating I'll assume she's doing it for the first reason.

Bengals are very fussy eaters often and most prefer wet food over dry, a lot won't even eat dry food. So I would recommend getting her some wet food brands and trying them to see which she likes. I would recommend staying away from hills as it's a food that's fill of fillers (even though it's sold by a vet it's very poor quality the same with Royal Canin, both are sold by vets because they make a percentage from the pet food company for selling them. Also vets get little to no training in animal nutrition and what they do get is from big pet food brands which encourage them to push their products.) I would recommend trying some high protein foods and seeing which she will eat, I have my boy currently on Thrive complete kitten food (he has a very sensitive stomach)

I would recommend looking for brands that have the highest protein amount 70% + initially unless she is super fussy and will only eat whiskas or Felix which does happen. You can get around feeding a poorer quality food by giving her the vitamin paste I mentioned above daily as that helps give any extra that she will need.

Also check the cans to see if they say complementary food or complete food, if they are complementary you will either need to feed a dry food as well or give her the vitamin supplements. You will find these days a lot of food isn't complete anymore because they want you to feed both wet and dry.

Your best bet is going down to pets at home and looking at the brands they have, picking up a few cans of the better quality and seeing what she will eat. Also still take her to the vet to see if she does have anything medically wrong but if the vet does try and sell you food from there I would avoid getting it unless you really want to as I said above vets don't have training in animal nutrition.

I'd definitely be taking the cat to the vets, low appetite in kittens can be fatal very quickly. Kittens should be eating regular small meals a few times a day.
Does she have any other symptoms? Was she eating properly at the breeders?
Try warming her food a little, maybe she cannot smell what's she's eating and it seems unappetising to her.

When a kitten doesn't eat, this is not good news. They require multiple feedings per day and their liver can't handle the fatty liver disease that takes over and is often fatal within a few of days. A trip to the vet is absolutely necessary to save this little one's life. You can syringe food into a cat's mouth (which I have to do when mine gets sick and refuses to eat). You've had her now for three months, so she has to be getting nutrients from somewhere. It sounds to me as if something more serous may be going on with this little gal and hopefully your vet can diagnose and treat whatever it is. I don't know that I would have brought a new kitten into the situation without first getting the other baby eating better.

Try a relatively new brand of food called "meowing heads" - "smitten kitten". I have been using this recently in an attempt to help my Bengal boy put on weight he has been unwell. You can buy a very small pack for just over £4.00.

Thank you for advice I am going to get some of the vitamin paste advised for her. She has started to eat a bit better now and her weight has increased by 5 grams which is going the right way I will keep checking her weight I spoke to the vet yesterday and told her she was eating a little more and was advised it would be better to keep her at home for now as the journey might set her back we are both at home next week so we can keep an eye on her

Kittens should have veracious appetites and seem to be insatiable. Usually they will eat anything, food or not. I would definitely consult with a vet. How is her activity level? They need lots of calories to fuel their wild and crazy kitten activities.

I'm confused as to her age. You say you bought her June 3rd and your subject line says she was born June 1st. Did you just recently pick her up or did you really get her as a 2 day old kitten? Did you get her from a breeder? The breeder should be able to help you with advice.

In any event, she needs a vet.
