South West Shows - TICA

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for anyone who is interested in attending a show somewhere in the South West - I am thinking Taunton/Bridgwater (or anywhere accessible to the M5).

Our closest TICA shows are Berkshire which is over an hour away and it is even further if you live in Wales!!

I am quite concerned about comments from fellow breeders coming back from shows, saying that because the breed standard bases itself on Male Bengals, the judges are placing quite beautiful girlies second to boys. It's ok if your boys like showing but if not, you only have the girls to show and if they aren't being placed as a general rule, is it worth spending £43x2 + fuel???

If the SW show goes ahead, could there be 3 classes? Best of Breed, male and female as well as the standard colour and pattern which leaves 5 chances of getting a placing. Obviously the show will be open to all breeds and HHP (yay GRM meggie), kittens and pedigree Alters.

Also.....
If it was £30 per cat, how many cats would you bring?

Taunton!!

Oh yes please it took us 7 1/2 hour to get to Brigg!! So 20 minutes to Taunton would be great.

Hi Jen

As you know we would be more than happy if there was a South West Show that was easy to get to. For us, the closest show is Newbury or Bracknell and thats 2 1/2 hours away!!

Im sure several pet owners who we have sold to will be interested in showing their alters.

Hi,
A show down here in the south west would be wonderful!!!
It's three and a half hours for me to get to Newbury so I always have to book a Travelodge for two days for a Tica show and one day for a GCCF show. Now that Travelodge are charging £20 per cat it's becoming more and more expensive. So yes please - get a show down here for a change!!
