You need to be very certain you are dealing with ethical people. All breeders are friendly and helpful when about to make a sale.

Large non-refundable deposits on "wow" kittens that are only a few days old in order to book them is also something you need to think carefully about as this can eat away at your money when the kitten turns out to be not what you really wanted and you have to decline.
The US, like here, is in the midst of a financial crisis, so some are desperate for money so just be extremely careful.

I also see imported cats from "wow" lines that in reality are little better than what could have been procured here so you need to be very certain as to what you really want in a cat and as Maddy says Photoshop is a wonderful tool.
