I adopted a Bengal, she will be two at the end of July. She had her third litter of kittens about 12 weeks before we got her. We have only had her 4 weeks now. A few of her breasts are still very lumpy, none of them are hot to the touch or red. Just lumpy. Anyhow- we have to get her spayed ourselves soon. We didn't want to get it done until she was acclimated otherwise checking on her while in recovery would have been impossible considering she was under our bed for more than 2 weeks. She is doing good now and we plan to get her spayed real soon. However- she is all ready in heat again. She is spraying- will that stop once she is spayed? Also- what all happens when they spay a cat? We have never done this before (our other Bengal came spayed). Is there any advice you can give me? Apparently the three litters of kittens she had were all deformed and stillborn (except one was alive) hence why she was retired. She is so fairly young that someone else said it probably wasn't breast cancer. The lumps do concern me. But I was told it might just be her body is slow going back to normal. Any thoughts, advice?
Thanks
