Hi BNK.
I think you have a point here. I think a lot of it is down to common sense, and tips you can pick up from Reputable breeders websites.
I have a page on my website that explains a bit about the cross-breeding of Bengals to different cats (including moggies etc) and the awful (fatal) consequences that may happen when whole litters die from a mis-match of blood groups.
A common 'pointer' for BYB's is that they will sell their kittens far too young, and with just a first or even worse, NO vaccination.
When photo's are taken of sad looking babies in pens, maybe with runny eyes too.....these are all 'warnings' to people NOT to buy!!! A kitten in any photo should appear happy, playful, lively, and in good, clean and airy surroundings.
If you see kittens that look poorly and sad, then don't buy them, as you are just filling the pockets of BYB's who will never put the money back into breeding, which is what a good breeder will do. I KNOW these babies deserve a good home too, but to keep 'rewarding' these BYB's by buying their kitties doesn't help future kittens as they will just keep breeding.
JMHO!!
