new to this site but wondered if anyone could answer this question

my bengal stud has recently had an upset stomach so today he started some anti-biotics called stomorgyl and some probiotic, he is all fine in himself, running around, eating etc, etc, just the odd tummy prob.

well earlier i nipped out to the loo when i heard alot of noise downstairs, my one queen had somehow slipped past me at the door, when i got back he was washing his bits and bobs and she was rolling around, so they had obviously mated.

but does anyone know will he be fertile whilst taking these tablets and if all his bits and bobs be in working order so to speak?

stomorgyl is a steroid that contains Metronidazole which is an and antibacterial agent used to treat diarrhea ,bacterial infections, such as Giardiasis, and help in the treatment of IBS. Also may be used as treatment for infections in the mouth and other bacterial infections.

steroids do temporarily lower testosterone in the body so there is a possibility of a successful mating but time will tell
