Hi y'all
Just thought that I would let you know what we are up to - sorry have been so quiet, have been swamped at work a bit.
Well, Lyra went away to stud with about 3 months ago. She was not a happy bunny and despite a careful introduction, she flew at the poor stud and also went for the stud owners.
The owners spent a lot of time with her and on the 2nd day she stopped hiding and started eating properly but continued to be utterly furious with the stud - who didnt know what had hit him, poor wee guy.
Of course she had gone off the boil. Possibly due to the journey and possibly due to the fiv felv tests and the vaccination (that was coming up due shortly) that the vet decided to give her while he was at it. Despite playing softy softly catchy monkey she didnt settle and the stud ownders asked us to take her away on the 4th day.
Poor Lyra. She must have felt abandoned. It was really funny, in a way, that she was being so fierce as she must be the least fierce cat that I have met. In one phone call I asked the stud owners, jokingly, to give her a kiss from me and they said - no way! I think they found her quite scary.
As soon as she got home she washed me thoroughly, checked everyone over and and settled right back to her normal self.
We hoped that she would come back in call but has not done so yet.
Perhaps she is gay
Anyway, any thoughts and advice would be welcomed.
