New here found this in a hurry. Can anyone link me to a sticky or previous thread on birthing? I thought it was a bit early but my spotted Bengal is restless. She just started nesting 3 days ago but now she keeps laying in the bathtub and will not settle down. Could this be it??? I guessed 49 to 53 days from the initial 'encounters'. Can they have them early? Forgive me for not searching but I am in a panic. She brought all the blankets and tees into the dogs crate lol...should i move it to the bathroom with the tub?? It is my first time having a litter, but since she is tica with papers I wanted to preserve the spotted line since marble is the only coat in this area.

If she has not yet kittened, please call your breeder/mentor and ask for guidance. If you do not have a mentor, call the vet asap. Kittens go south quickly and if your queen needs a section or other attention, you need to do that asap too.

This forum has been acting a little odd these days. As for the birthing, hopefully, things have gone fine. Bengal owners who want to breed need to have a mentor -- which is usually the breeder of your cat. They should have a lifetime of support which most breeders provide. They will answer all your questions. I've never bred cats. I now little about the birthing process or what to expect. The general gestation period is 63 days, I believe. I'm going from memory. Cats can go into premature labor just as humans can. There can also be an error in calculation. Most cats birth within a day or two of their "due" date.

I hope you will post an update on your cat. We did have a member whose cat was pregnant and never knew the cat had kittens until she found all five dead in the closet.

IF your queen is birthing early, I hope you have kitten formula on hand as well as other supplies to provide for the little ones.
