I have a boy (10 month) and girl (11 month), she has been on heat now for nearly 10 days. I am looking to let her conceive on her next heat when she is a year old but how long is she going to be on heat for?

He is being a nightmare and I don't have a catio to leave him outside.

Anybody got an idea?

Thanks

Most breeders will breed a queen at around a year old, so your girl is old enough if you want to have kittens now. A heat cycle can run 10 days, then she will go out of heat, and can come back into heat them almost immediately -- and that can last a total of up to three weeks. And know your female can go into heat again before her litter is weaned -- it is a cycle to keep producing kittens, although if you are into breeding, she should have no more than three litters in two years. That means, lots of heat cycles where she is not mated. Good luck!
