Some cats are just fine living with a murmur. Just have the vet keep an eye on it. I had a kitten that had a grade 3 heart murmur and was told she probably wouldn't live long. She passed away 28 years later (still had the murmur) of old age. Some kittens grow out of the murmur. It all depends on what is causing it.

Heart murmurs in bengals are very common. Mine has a grade 3 murmur. The grades are 1 to 5 and sometimes six. Some heart murmurs in kittens will go away over time. Others do not. My bengal has had his from birth and he is 10 years old and behaves completely normal! He runs on his cat wheel, jumps up on his cat tree, takes two walks daily. You would never know he has one. The vet monitors it every time we are there (which is usually 2 to 3 times a year and not just once for the wellness visit).

While heart murmurs can be serious, a grade 1 or 2 are not overly serious and your baby should be fine. I'm not downplaying a kitten having a heart murmur, I just look at the positive side and that is my bengal's heart murmur has not affected him. Your baby will more than likely live a long, happy life.
