We have an 8 month old marbled bengal female. My question is...is it better to breed her at least once before we get her fixed? I know that for a female dog that is pure bread it is better for them. But I am all new to this bengal cat thing and want to have the proper information ☺

No you should not breed her, there is no reason to do this as it has no effect at all on the cat.

I had Pearl done at 4 months as she came into season early.

I would highly recommend to get her done as soon as possible.

I am recommending you get your bengal fixed ASAP. There is no reason for a cat to have a litter of kittens unless you are starting a breeding program. There are enough bengal breeders so the supply of bengal kittens is great, While it's super "cute" to have a female give birth to these adorable kittens, there are extra expenses involved if you want purebred bengal kittens -- like a purebred bengal stud which is not cheap.

Note, too, we have members from all over the world and most are from the UK, so the slang over there is rampant in these posts. You cannot take things posted here personally. It is the internet and we all seem anonymous here. All members do their best to help out and answer questions. We're happy you're a part of this wonderful forum.

Cleo was simply asking a question! Members here are free to comment. Nobody meant any harm by it, although some people more than others may feel a big stronger about not allowing a cat to breed when there is no need to breed it! We all suggested the female cat be spayed. It's up to Cleo84 to decide what she wants to do.
