We like to give our leopard ladies a good break in between litters, some breeders won't give them time to breathe before they're pregnant again.....but thats just not the way we want to do things......remember its about quality and not quantity. :wink:

I must say i think you are right there i know a few breeders who do not rest there queens,i once met a chap who breed his queen when she was still nursing, what is the law with the GCCF about this do they have a rule to say when and how often she can be breed,there must be a few months gap surly

I don't think they have any rulings that would cover this situation!

I still think its wrong to breed a queen straight after giving birth.....they need the break in between just to gain their weight loss back and also their condition.....Just think how long a human would last if they we're constantly birth every 9 months....They die of nervous exhaustion.

Common sense......it'd be detrimental to the queens health to just keep her churning out babies, not to mention the health issues that would affect the whole litter.

Just our opinion....others may have good reasons to mate early but IMO greed tops the list!

Okay y'all she's been bred a few times (3 times ), and each time she comes right back into heat, has NOT been pregnant, no pinking, no kittens...nothing but her constant state of calling!!! She hasn't even gone inot a false pregnacy. She's healthy, eating, playing,and just being normal. I'm at a lose as to WHY she won't get pregnant?!?
