Hi all,
I haven't introduced myself yet, but I will soon.
We purchased a purebred Bengal kitten from a breeder in San Francisco. Now that we've done our research, we can see he is not very legitimate. He is not a registered breeder, though he has a website, craigslist ads, and had 3 or 4 litters when we went to his house.
Our kitten has been very sick, though he is doing much better now. We've spent about $1300 on vet bills so far. I am not listing all of his ailments because I don't want to distract from my primary question:
I am writing to ask if anyone has experience with the Polanco-Lockyer Pet Breeder Warranty Act, the California "lemon law", and whether it covers
cats too. The text specifically mentions dogs:

After this all settles down, I'll come back and post the full details in hopes that this saves someone else from pain of watching a kitty come so close to death.
Thank you,
Jennifer
