Hi everyone! first time posting here, but have been reading this forum since July and have learnt so much so I thankyou all for sharing all your helpful knowledge and being active in this forum! I hope I have chosen the correct place to post this, if I didnt my apologies.
Long story short we adopted a 9 month old bengal who was pregnant and we are not breeders or plan on becoming breeders but we knew she needed a good home as her 2 previous owners both moved out of town and couldn't take her with them. We fell in love with her right away, and it broke our heart that she had already had to go through 2 families and none the less being pregnant as a kitten herself!! Regardless she did absolutely amazing in her birth, didn't even make one sound and I didn't need to interfere at all! She is an amazing mum to her kitties ( she had 4 beautiful little ones, 1 brown girl and 2 silver girl and 1 silver boy ) and is very protective of them. They are all sweet kittens and have been running around the house, eating well and using the litter most of the time lol... One sneezes every so often, is this something we should be concerned about? or is that just like humans and harmless when its not consistent?
We are giving the kittens away to close friends and family that we know can love them and handle the fun Bengal characteristics. We did not take her in to make money off the kittens which is one of the reasons we did not hesitate to take her home, as we know there are people out there that would have adopted her just to sell her kittens and then who knows how they would be taken care of?
I would love most importantly some advice on rehoming them... things like what age is best, how is the best way to prepare them and mum, should we have them go one at a time or all at once? etc. I wish we could keep them all as they all love each other very much and like to cuddle all day, I'm going to cry when its time for them to leave. We have decided to keep one of the kittens to help mum from being depressed as we have more than enough room and can afford to look after 2 cats.
Any tips would be very appreciated as this is new to us and we want the kittens and mum to be as comfortable as possible in this process.
Thankyou!
