Hello, I have a silver female who's father is a mink snow, does she carry for lynx and serpia, or just one or the other??? IV BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS ANSWER EVERYWHERE!! I would assume she carries for both? I'm on the verge of possibly bringing in a solid lynx male, yes I paid and will be paying for the breeding rights of my female and kitten, in the hopes of getting some lynx kittens, but, I want to know for sure if she carries for lynx, I always assumed she did, but now I'm questioning it. Can some please help!!! Also, if she carries for serpia, and he's a lynx, can they produce mink kittens? Also lol, since she is a silver, can she produce silver snows? I'm assuming she must carrie snow since her father is a mink? Any help would be great!!!! Thank you!

Thank you for your help, I have done my fair share of research but know where could I find directly what kittens from a mink father would carry. Also her mother if you were wondering is a champion silver marble. I have thought long and hard what I want to breed for and my cats have VERY good pedigrees. Yesi would say it does make me nervous dabbling in the silver snow area, but, if anyone could make them, and bring in good traits to the breed, my female and possible male will. Also, the male that I will be putting a deposit down tonight on is a solid "melanistic" lynx snow. My females pedigree doesn't show anywhere melanistic ansestery. So I'm confident that that's a area I won't have to account for. Again I understand your snooty ness lol, but I'm doing the research, picking good traits to bring forth in the breed, and not just doing things to do things..or not trying to make money, as most people know who do it right, there no only to be made if you do things the right way. I am excited of the thought of either mink or lynx snows, as I love them both.

I must say I hate the term rare.....to me it is a marketing ploy to try and demand a bit of extra cash....a Bengal that isn't a recognised colour is not rare its simply non-standard.
