My thoughts were as above aswell, What are you looking to achieve? What are your goals? Personally I dont like marbles, I also found them harder to sell, spotties are nice, but I like the rosettes, to me that is a bengal
So its kinda up to you, they also look like older cats, I have been there done there, always a reason someone sells older cats for breeding, in my expereince it isnt for the love of the cat
You seem like a new breeder? Personally I think you should wait for a stud, we waited many years and I have retured him at just 2 & half years old due to the life they lead, its not very nice
Constant crying, spraying, in the end pooping everywhere, attacking the girls, so we built him a house outside which he hated, in the end we neutered & rehomed him, his a lovely indoor pet now
I think that its best to use the best outside studs you can, keep back the best girls then down the line buy a boy in, thats what we did. Now I have my girls 3rd-4th gen, and a 1st gen my keeper stud boy, who again will be neutered after his first litters as I dont want him living outside, it isnt a nice life for them
So its kinda up to what are you looking to achieve? Do you really want to put a lovely rosetted girl to a spotty and you may get all spots? or a stunning rosetted boy to compliment her?
What Im doing this year is using all outside boys, the best ones I can find all over the country and using a animal courier to get to them! Then keeping a girl back, yes it costs more but thats the way it goes, will really compliment what Im trying to achieve.
So dont jump into stud ownership or a older girl you have a older girl, then are more fussy terrotorial, say they dont get on? Much better to get a kitten
Sorry I could go on forever Im starting to wander now lol!
