Is it possible to become a breeder of Savannah cats, Bengal cats & Dogs ? I really want a bengal cat I want to breed for the love of the breed just like the dog. I also want to have a serval & breed it to my bengals. I hate when SBT SAVANNAHS DON't EVEN LOOK LIKE THE SERVALS . But Bengals have the look of a DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR, Body type of an Leopard Cat & SBT's still look wild. UGHHH.

Breeding is not about love, it is smelly, dirty, hard work 24/7, it is extremely tying, it drains your emotions, it can ruin your relationships and severely affect your social life. It will deplete your bank balance. It will ruin your house and after all that it can break your heart regularly.
It is not ever something to be started on a whim and merely because you "love the breed".
You need to do some serious research into breeding, before contemplating breeding one animal without embarking on a few.

Yes I suppose you could do all of that if you are a multi millionaire and a heart of ice !! It takes so much time and effort to breed dogs alone!! I used to breed Dobermans and it was very very hard mentally and physically. I couldn't imagine the stress of breeding not only one breed of exoctics but two that is a lot to ask of one person to cope with and trying to figure out genetics on top of that is insanity to me. That's just my thoughts and sorry to sound so harsh but the reality is it just wouldn't be a wise thing to do... At least for the health and well being of the animals involved!

This post has really confused me. IF you want to breed - pick one breed and have experience with it first - do you have a Bengal or a Savannah - and what breed of dog is it that you have?

What do you want to achieve with these breeds?
How do you feel you can progress the breeds - wanting ear markings is not enough to justify a certain mating - will you compromise everything else just for two thumb prints that are going to fade down the generations anyway?

You need to sit down SERIOUSLY and decide what breed is for you (not multiple breeds) and then go from there. Most people who bred early generations have an EG as a pet in the first instance before they even start to breed them. They will have a good few years breeding SBT's first aswell - and progress if they choose to (although personally I don't see the point)
