Don't overly complicate it. Just try to assess which cat you really *like* (to be around) the best, and which cat likes you the best. So long as they are both of equal health (they look healthy and growing, fur looks good, eyes look clear, no discharge around nose etc) then that's the cat to get imho.

Hmm I'm not a breeder but I did get both of my cats from different moms who sound just like how you described, and it really shows in their personalities. I would personally choose character over looks if I were in your situation. It'd be nice to produce amazing-looking babies but it might ultimately be more rewarding to have a litter of little love bugs, as I'm sure your clients will not be able to stop singing praises, recommending you to their friends, and emailing you with updates if that's the case.

Also, six weeks seems a bit early to be making judgments but since there's such a stark comparison, maybe it isn't. Clearly the solution here is to convince your husband to get both!

Loling at the idea of "what, this old bengal, I've had her for years"... I think it'll work......
