I know you haven't been happy for a time so it doesn't come as a surprise really. I might have to consider a Tonk brother or sister in the future for Obi if ever the time is right and I can persuade Aran that two would be even more fun.

Obi is a super boy (even though he is trying to break into the toilet to seek and destroy the bog roll right now!).

I'm glad you were breeding bengals when you were because we love him so much and have you to credit for that.

Sad, very sad. But I respect your decision Sue, you have your reasons. But it breaks my heart to see more and more reputable breeders stopping whilst the number of inexperienced breeders sky rockets.

I dread to think where the breed will be in a few years time if this continues.

I for one am VERY glad to see Maddy taking a stand and I hope some other well established breeders will join her and take a stand for the sake of the breed.

The Bengal desperately needs good breeders clubbing together for it to have a decent future.

I'm very sad to hear this but think, unfortunately, it is a decision that more and more ethical and genuine breeders will be taking over the coming months. There are just far too many Bengal "breeders" out there now and as pointed out already many of these are people are just out to make money from people who don't know any better and are happy churning out poor quality and unhealthy kittens.

Since when were any of us lucky enough to produce litters in which every kitten is a potential show/breeder??!!! I wish!! :shock:

I totally agree with Maddy about prices too, they are ridiculous at the moment, and I really hope that sanity will return to the Bengal world sooner rather than later. My kittens are £400-450 as pets and on the rare occasion I have considered something good enough to sell for breeding I've priced low (only then to be asked what was wrong with the kitten as there was more than £500 difference between myself and other breeders!!)

I am sorry to hear you are going out of Bengals Sue and Gerry. The recession has done no-one any favours and the number of breeders seems to have grown tremendously of late.

You will be missed in the Bengal breeding world but I am glad you will still be around and hopefully involved with the clubs and showing etc. where we will still get to see you sometimes with the Tonks?
