I would recommend looking at the bengal kittenlist for adverts...there are other sites as well of course. There are so many imports now and some amazing kittens out there. You could look at the breeders in your area you'd be prepared to travel on the bengal kittenlist. Look at pedigrees and make sure you know the breeds standards of points (head shape,etc) before making any decisions.
If you have someone to advise/help you search...it'd help you out a lot. Also if you cannot travel to see the cat you like in the fur....ask for photos in natural light against a natural background as it gives an overall better idea of how the kitten is looking. Photos to show the head, ears, clear view of pattern on both sides of the kitten and it's profile. Also a tummy photo is an idea to check for lockets......even better ....just askk the breeder if the line is known to have any lockets.
Sorry for such a lengthy mail but many people have had to replace their cats if they do not research and ask enough questions at the time. This would make it an even more expensive hobby!!!
