usually they do it by themselves. they start to take an interest in watching mum eat. i usually don't interfere unless they get to about 5-6 weeks & still haven't started, then i take a little wet food & rub it on the roof of their mouths to get them interested. when they get the taste for it but won't eat from the bowl, i gently put their little nose to it so they lick it off & that's usually all it takes.
my current babies all started around 3 weeks...even started eating the biscuits & drinking water all by themselves...now (at around 5 weeks) they all get excited when it's wet food time & i get a big case of the multiple yum-yums
