I'm not totally sure about the Applaws dry food and if it doesn't have taurine either naturally through the ingredients or added, then I wouldn't think it was complete. Certainly the wet food isn't regarded as complete so I use it mainly as a treat. The dry food is quite new and I've heard mixed reports about the adult variety - some people say their cats love it, but also one or two have said their cats have become poorly on it. As it's a new food, I've decided to wait a while before trying it on my brood. They're happy with the Orijen so I'll stick with it for now.

Could it be that the natural limit in taurine has been reached due to the high percentage of meat in the kibble? It's 80% meat. I know that the wet isn't complete, but they announce the dry to be a complete diet. Gods, I'm so confused

I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Perhaps it has an analysis on the package.

I don't mind smelly food, as long as it is good nutrition

Just picking up on this old post. I have tried a sample pack of both flavours and my cats loooove it.
they go into a feeding frenzy. Sol doesnt usually like biscuits but he loves these.

I didn't see this post when it was first done but I fed Applaws kitten dry for a little while recently but Java tried to pick out the royal canin that was mixed with it and leave the applaws so I don't think she was too keen! She also never really had a solid poo while she was on it so now I have gone back to James Wellbeloved and Royal Canin. And it really does smell so strong!
Saying that though, we got a free sample pack of the chicken Applaws adult dry food so I gave her a couple of biscuits to see if she liked them and she looooves it! So now I'm using that little sample pack as treats!
