Hi everyone,
the sample was sent off to Idex in Yorkshire and ,,,wait for it! they have no record of receiving it ,,, agggghhhh. So the process begins again on Mon when I bring Mia back for them to collect a sample and send it off that day, I have been assured that they carry out the test as soon as they get it so I should know asap. Obviously I am not happy and they are aware of that so heres hoping they get their finger out this time!

Oh no!! What a pain and so frustrating! Did you find out by what method they are testing for it there in Yorkshire?

no rollingmoss I didnt the receptionist couldnt tell me and couldnt get speaking to vet but I will on Mon when I leave Mia up it,s a pain and Im considering changing vets if this coninues.I have been going with this complaint now for 8/9 wks and I think they should have done their homework a bit better re the commom health complaints with Bengals.I had to give them the info re TF and they still messed up !

Yeah, I had to change vets actually. I was not impressed with my first vets - they wouldn't even willingly discuss the possibility of symtoms being TF In fact they just threw the stool sample into the bin infront of my eyes and told me to give them special food!! I was actually shocked. I then changed vets - the new vets hadn't ever tested for TF before but they were very willing and researched it thoroughly - I was very relieved! Just shows you that there are vets out there that don't know about this parasite and need to be a bit more informed - even if you have to push them to research it yourself!

I hope all goes well with Mia at the vets tomorrow. Keep us posted!
