I am about to become the proud owner of my first Bengal kitten.

I want to feed my new cat the best food I can and was hoping somebody out there could tell me which wet food they would recommend in the UK?

Can you get high meat content food like EVO here in the UK?

Hi, welcome to the forum and the world of being a Bengal slave. When do you get your new monster and when do we get to see piccies?

You'll probably get a dozen different answers to your food question as everyone has their own opinion when it comes to food and everyone's Bengals seem to have different preferences .

When mine were kittens they were on Nature's Menu kitten pouches which they thrived on, it's 70% meat and you can get it online or from Pets at Home. They wouldn't touch the adult variety though!

Almo Nature is the best wet food I've seen yet, expensive but very high quality and no mention of derivatives.

There's quite a few available, getting hold of them in the high street can be a pain though.....Pets at home sells Natures Menu I think, but your best buying online for a better deal!

if you are going to change his diet from the one he is on at the breeder's, be sure to introduce the food very gradually, while gradually reducing his old food, otherwise the sudden change could upset his system.

as ginny said, you will probably get many different replies to this as what works for one may not work for another.

best thing to do is have a good research online, read up on ingrediants & availability (you don't want to choose something that you might not always be able to get hold of before you've run out), & read up on other peoples' experiences...there is plenty on here to read through & many links to information on food.

Once I have chosen a food and the kitten is used to eating it, do I then have to stay with that food?

My plan was to find a few high quality foods and then give her a different one every couple of days so she has a good variety.

Is this a bad idea??

It's a swedish complete wet food with 93% meat and no rubbish added. It's suitable for cats and kittens so if you've got a cat that likes to pinch others food, it doesn't matter.

My two love it - they have solid poos, and they're happy & healthy. Therefore, so am i.

Saffy suffered from acute diarrhoea & colitis being on all the other foods i tried, we even had her on a specialist Hills Z/D diet, which didn't work, however, when we switched to Bozita, within 5-6 weeks, she was back to normal. And i've not seen any blood etc since.

I drive to a pet shop 15 miles away just to get it..
