Any idea what this might be, I stick to the same name brand of food and it seems to happen all of the time no matter what she eats I’ve even tried to give her food at different times of the day and it always seems to happen later on at night. Inflammation issue? Allergy issue?? She rubs her face on mine like it itches but I’m not sure what else to do or not do. Anybody else seen this issue with their Bengal babies.

Is the bowl made of plastic? If so, perhaps an allergy to the bowl and not the food? Look up feline acne.

Also I would take a look at her teeth just in case.

So (2) visits to the vet and the outcome IS
#1) allergic reaction to food (but hard to pinpoint) as I give her many flavors of the same brand
#2) she has Colitis (bacterial infection) in her intestines which is being treated with liquid amoxicillin.
My QUESTION is this: what do you guys feed your Bengals?? How do you feel about feeding the Bengals raw Chicken?? My breeder did say to feed my baby raw diet with powder for vitamins to get the proper nutrients?!

If you are interested in feeding raw, you can order raw cat food online and many pet food stores sell it already made. Raw feeding is not just cutting up a chicken or whatever and feeding it to the cat. Cats require additional supplements like taurine and calcium. Those can be found in the organs (heart, lung) of the animal and calcium can be found in the bones or crushed eggshells. However, you need to get the portions right. They do sell supplements that you can add to the raw meat. Most people prepare for several weeks and put them in daily portions and freeze what they don't need and simply thaw out what they need for the day.

Bengals do not require a raw diet, however. And if you are trying to feed your cat different flavors of the same brand of food, that could be the issue! It may not be the meat in the food, but something else the manufacturer is putting into the food. You might want to try a different brand of food.

Sherry; is there a brand you recommend to feed my Bengal baby?? I do feed her Instinct dry food which seems to be ok for her but I had bought the wet formula for treats for her! Maybe I should just quit the wet food altogether???

I honestly can't recommend a brand of food since mine is on a Rx diet. Do you generally feed the wet food or just the dry? There are brands with "limited" ingredients. When researching a brand, you need to look at all the ingredients. If they don't have them on the website, Chewy.com usually has them under "nutritional information" and they are readable unlike the label on the packaging.

Wet food is good for your kitty with a high moisture content. But many cats survive on dry food only. Problem is there are no sample sizes of dry food whereas you can purchase ONE can of a particular brand and flavor of wet food.

Is your vet treating the "allergy" at all?
