According to what I found on a quick google here

According to the CDC, there are about 12 cases per year in the US and most are attributed to eating wild game.
So avoid feeding the cat chicken intestines covered in lesions and it should be alright. I would hope that if chickens were found to have lesions on their internal organs during slaughter, some questions would be raised.
