We live in Germany and we are picking up our little boy soon. I ordered dry and can food from amazon.com but I am also wondering what good kitten/adult cat food available in Germany. Are there anyone who lives in Germany may help me out? Thank you.

You need to keep the kitten on the same food as the breeder for a while. A quick change in diet can result in stomach upset. You will have to transition to a new food slowly by combining the two with larger portions over time of the new food until your kitty is eating the new food. However, you aren't there yet, so purchase the same food the baby has been eating.

Thank you Sherri, Sorry I could't write you right away:) Well we got our little boy about 10 days ago. The breeder gave me some of the food she uses so we are still working on transitioning him. I am not a huge fan of the food she uses but Loki seems to enjoy it more than the high quality, grain free food I have. Overall he prefers can food anyway. Thanks again for writing me back.

I think it is important to keep the cat on the same food for a while -- at least until the kitten has adjusted and is comfortable in the new surroundings. Stress can upset a cat a lot and change of diet can as well. At that point, you can start transitioning the kitty to whatever food you like. I honestly don't know that we have anyone from Germany who posts regularly on this forum. Congratulations on your baby.

as Sherry says, keeping to the same food until your kitten is totally settled is the best thing to do.

When he is settled, zooplus.de have a bunch of good foods. I used Orijen with my two as kittens and beyond, but generally look for a grain free, quality food. Applaws tins of chicken also go down really well in my house - they are smaller than the pouches/tins you get in supermarkets, but are 75% meat rather than 12%:
