I was wondering how much raw meat my Bengals should be eating at this age. They are only a few days away from being 6 months old

Right now they are eating 250 grams per cat of raw meat (the minced kind with meat, bone and organ). They both weigh around 4 kg each (neutered boys) already. So they are getting around 6% of their bodyweight in food. They are still gaining weight each week and I think they look quite healthy (I'll add a photo)!

I know that I should give raw food in an amount that I feel like the cats are looking healthy and well fed, but I'm just wondering if this is enough, or maybe this is getting too much for their age? Plus, I feel like Bengal cats do need to eat more to compensate for all their Bengalitis attacks. They are full of energy!

I just want to be sure and have some opinions from others that are more experienced in a raw diet, because I just love my 2 boys so much!

I think every cat is different in the amount of food they consume. The key is that your kitties are gaining weight and their body structure is normal for a bengal. You do not want to overfeed them, naturally, but my cat tells when when he is hungry and his bowl is empty. Mine is 9 years old and a grazer that eats throughout the day. You definitely do not want to keep raw food out for a very long time.

You may want to read through the thread here on a raw diet and I'm sure google can help you out in locating additional information. Hopefully, a member who feeds raw can add some helpful information for you.

You cannot overfeed raw food. Give them as much as they want to eat. At 6 months, Quasar ate up to 12 oz food daily. He only eats 6-8 oz now, at 4 years old. He has never been overweight.

Don't restrict the intake of kittens. They will keep growing in fits and starts until up to 18 months. I still let Quasar have as much raw as he likes. He just eats less now.

They are seriously beautiful cats! They look older than 6 months. Maybe they are going to be large lanky bengals when they finish growing. Keep us posted with photos as they grow.

Kittens, in general, need to eat much more food! Bengals are long, lean and muscular! As long as you cannot feel their ribs and they are active and eat what you put out, that's great. Kittens do also need to eat at least several times a day, especially if you're not keeping any dry kibble out for them.
