By kitten chow, do you mean just generically food marketed for kittens? Or do you mean specifically purina kitten chow? If you mean Purina kitten Chow, it is made mostly from animal by-products and grains. There really is very little nutritional value in there for cats, regardless of age. If you mean kitten food more generically, I dunno, I've never really looked at that (the possibility of feeding kitten food to an adult cat), usually it's the opposite (people want to get their kittens off of kitten food sooner than the kitten food manufacturers would like you to). But I haven't really studied it.
