Hi everyone! Onyx is a 5.5 year old retired queen. We have had her for two weeks.
As of about a week ago, she has begun vomiting... a lot. She has vomited three times today alone. At first it was a lot of food, but now it is mostly liquid.
After a week she ran out of food from the breeder. The breeder told me it was Go! daily defense mixed with Go! kitten. She said I could buy Go! fit and free instead because it is grain free but Go! daily defense isn't. That is exactly what I did. I mixed the fit and free with the breeder mix and Onyx was fine.
But I ran out of breeder food, and when I just gave her the daily defense on its own, that is when the vomiting started. I have stopped all other sources of food to see if that was the problem, but it has not helped. I just went to the pet store and bought go! daily defense again and removed all fit and free, and she immediately vomited just now with that.
Additional info: no blood in her vomiting, she still eats and drinks, she is not lethargic and is quite active. She loves cuddles and her behaviour is normal. She cries when she vomits and her whole body spasms.
I would appreciate any help before visiting a vet. I am open to switching pet food brands if you guys think that is the problem, though this is what she has used before with no issues.
Thanks in advance!
