They will eat it I would just prefer to give them this food. Its suppose to be more organic with less "by product".

Right before the big pet food scandal/scare, I was actually doing a little studying on feline nutrition, and realizing I was feeding Coco the equivalent of fast food. I looked into alot of the brands that Tameria has tried, too. I was looking for low/no grain, low/no carbs, high protein and as "pure", or without additives, etc., that I could find.

Coco is very picky eater...so some things she'll try and some things she won't. I've taken to leaving wet food out 30 minutes; if she doesn't eat it I take up the bowl and empty/wash it. I've got kibble out, but after experimenting with some brands, I've come up with a mix of two she finally seems to like, and feel is of nutritional value:
Nature's Variety Instinct (grain free) Chicken Flavor (http://www.naturesvariety.com/)
Royal Canin 35/30 for Fussy Cats

She loooves those Whiskas Purrfectly Fish, so I keep those around, but I try to rotate them with some other high-quality foods she'll actually nibble at: Merrick, Newman's own, Wellness (the beefy stuff seems to go over best), and I found some Pet Guard Premium Feast at the local health food store, and she seems to like it as well.

If she had her choice, she'd just live on dried tuna flakes.

Mine love the Whiskas Purrfectly Fish, too! It's apparently the next best thing right after canned tuna. The only reason I don't feed it more often is because it has artificial preservatives (BHA/BHT) in it. It's so hard to find good cat food, but it's getting better (I guess there's much more demand for high quality foods now than there was before the big pet food scandal). Every time I go to the pet store, they have something new that sounds good. Recent "discoveries" were Taste of the Wild (a grain-free dry food) and Blue Buffalo Wilderness at the store, but I haven't fed those yet. As for canned, I've managed to secure a couple of cans of the new 95% meat Evo and Instinct brands. My cats weren't too thrilled about the Evo, but Instinct canned was an instant hit. The store in town also started carrying the Wellness pouches, which made me really happy, but my cats sometimes just lick up the gravy and leave the bits. Binky loooves Country Pet. It's a frozen food that comes in a sausage-like package and you cut it up into bite-sized pieces. He didn't want it the first time I served it, but now he insists on getting a slice every day and will follow me around and meow at the fridge until I get it out for him. The other three don't care as much for it as he does.

Just looked up Country Pet. Seems an interesting and healthy alternative for a snack/treat. How long does one tube of that usually last?

The slices are marked and there are about 12 per roll. The feeding recommendations say 1 slice per 8 lbs twice a day (more for kittens), so it would last about 6 days for an 8 lbs adult cat if used exclusively. I use it together with other foods so usually one roll lasts about two weeks around here. It takes about 1-2 days to thaw a whole roll in the fridge, so I usually move the next roll from the freezer to the fridge when I'm down to about 4 slices left. I started buying it simply because the local organic foods store sells it and it turned out to be a success for my cats, but I've also heard some cats don't like it.

Almost forgotten I'd bookmarked this site ages ago....its by a vet, and its geared more towards feeding a raw diet, but its good info on basic nutrition, how to read labels, etc., and she gives some examples of high quality foods you can buy (most of them on your list, Tameeria) AND it turns out she sometimes feeds her own cats Country Pet.

Raja likes Wellness treat packets, canned Merrick and Weruva for wet food. I put out Natural Balance for our older tabby and sometimes Raja eats that too so we put out a bowl for him as well :)

We have a great natural pet store near us. We've tried many diff. food brands and these work best for our kitties.
