Yes it's OK to feed dry alongside wet (raw or commercial) - some people swear by a mixed diet, others swear by all wet or all dry. You can either give the dry at his main mealtimes or leave some down all the time. Personally I'm a fan of letting them graze on dry food throughout the day so that they don't stuff themselves on the wet food when it's served. Generally speaking, cats don't over-eat but there are exceptions and you do sometimes get greedy ones who don't know when to stop - in that case you need to ration the dry food too.
If you do add some dry food to his diet, you still need to monitor the total amount he's eating but it might be a good option for you if he's not being satisfied by the raw food alone. Make sure it's a good quality, grain-free dry food. You do find that kittens eat more during their very active growing phase than they do as adults so his intake will probably drop a bit when he's older.
