Hi all,

Since our other cat died, our Bengal girl has become very fussy about the food she eats. Prior to this, she would (and did!) eat every mortal thing that was put down in front of her.

We feed her on a mix of Applaws and Hi-Life at the moment and she always has some dry food, currently Joe and Jill's, but she is barely touching the dry and will often turn her nose up at the Hi-Life. She consistently eats Applaws but is often regurgitates it all over the carpet. There's little or no bile in the sick when she does this.

Has anyone else had this problem, and would it help to serve smaller portions more frequently?

i'm sorry to hear you lost your cat.
your other one may have become fussy because she is grieving, but please be aware that applaws is not a complete food, she won't be getting all she needs from it. this could explain why it's upsetting her system.

In a addition to what Ren has said i would try and feed her very small amounts frequently.

one of my early gen girls is really bad for regurgitating food as she eats what is put down very quickly (she is also a fussy eater!). Ive found small amounts often really do help.

Thanks for that. I am aware that Applaws is not complete, which is why we try to feed her a mix. I will also be getting her some Hill's Science Plan, as this is the only dry food acceptable to her.

I will try feeding her small amounts more often too - I have tried her with some Bozita this evening and all seems well so far....
