I don't feel we have a right to imply that just because the breeder is asking less money than most other people on here, it automatically means they are trying to scam the buyer, and we must be very careful with the accusations we make.

I agree 8 weeks is a very young age to let a kitten go. And I agree it is odd that they breed crosses as well, but at the end of the day, that does not mean they are necessarily dishonest, and we can not automatically assume this particular kitten is also a cross breed.

N&C, I know you said your budget is only £250, but you will have to factor in another £50 at least for the kittens vaccinations. So realistically you would have to stretch your budget to around £300. Ask a few more questions from them, and maybe get a picture of the kitten to put up here as well. Ask to see the parents registration slips, and make sure it doesn't say " no progeny to be registered" on the bottom right hand side.
