Depends on colour and coat clarity, also show or pet quality but if you want a show quality without showing your kitty, the breeder would normally sell at the pet price.
Our browns start at £450, they are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, insured, microchipped with TICA registration. Also they come with a basic kitten pack of litter, food, a toy, pedigree and 24/7 help and advice.
A Mink or Snow can be extra with us, but it depends.
Silvers (we don't have any at the moment - but working on it) can start from £500, I got Angel my first Bengal for £650 as she was show quality.
I also give discounts for more than 1 going together and can hold kittens at no extra cost for say a 2 week holiday as people like to spend as much time with their new additions when they get back.
If a kitten is going as a pet, we will neuter before it leaves, it can also have a microchip at the same time as it is less stressful.....all part of the service.
Some pet owners can get suspicious of these high prices but this particular breed was imported from America. Looking into importing one out to me, would cost up to £4000. If you look at the prices of Toygers at the moment (and more so when they first came about), even though they are coming down in price, they are still quite expensive to have as a neuter. This was the same when the Bengals were just as new. It takes a lot of time and energy to feed, de-poop and play with all of the cats every day, plus their living accomodation (the smell of entire cats - plural - can be overpowering if kept indoors), the costs do mount up.
I can see why some (deffinately not all) potential 'bengal' owners go shopping around and end up with an 8 week old 'bengal' kitten with no paperwork for £150 (if you find a cross, unregistered one for that amount), but it is better to visit a few genuine breeders, talk to them, play with the adults and then make your decision.
Most of all, have fun, the kitty of your dreams is out there waiting for you...
