Hi! I just joined the forums (and posted another question earlier).
I'm hoping some of you could help us with something. The Bengal that we'll be looking at is 4.5 years old, is a retired breeding stud, and was "fixed" a month ago. The current owner bought him from the breeder two months ago, but he apparently is scared to death of the dog (which is why we're going to see him and hopefully give him a good home).
We're wondering about socialization. Since this cat wasn't raised to be a family pet, what should we expect from him? I guess what I'm most concerned about is spending an hour or so with him and give him some benefit of the doubt (due to the two months with the dog) if he's not really sweet and social. Should I expect him to be shy at first and then warm up later?
