I'm new to the boards and am so grateful for finding it. I've been learning a lot. After reading so many posts I have so many additional questions.
After visiting several breeders in my area I've decided on one and put a deposit on kitten. It really is true when you guys say they pick you out. After playing with three litters that were there this little guy just kept coming up to me and even fell asleep right on my lap. There was a connection which for me was very important. My question is how do I know at this young age (eight weeks) if he's going to have a nice pattern and color. I love the golden babies and his father is beautiful. Do you think his pattern is good or should I not worry about it and just go for personality? Also after reading so many posts regarding getting two I'm really undecided about that. I'm at work most of the day and live alone. Is it best to be from the same litter or can they be different? I've attached a photo (hopefully?) and would really appreciate any input. This is a really great community and can't wait to be a part of it. I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions and one day hope to be answering some. What do you think of my little guy that found me? Hi and welcome to the forum. Try the sticky in the Gallery section for uploading photos to tinypic. It's pretty similar for Photobucket which is the one I use.

Personally I'd advocate 2 kittens but that's because I love to be surrounded by cats! Bengals are a very sociable breed so are more likely to want company (feline or human) but plenty of them are perfectly happy on their own. You won't really know the nature of the kitten until you get it.

About taking 2 kittens - we are also working throughout the day and pretty exhausted in the evening, but when getting a Bengal we thought we take one and spoil him, lol. But after 2 months it got clear to us, that feline company would be just perfect for the time we are away. It sure is like that. Now when we have taken another one, we can really see they enjoy each others company (well, together they are also more creative in making mess ).
Although our kittens were friends in 2 hours after meeting again (they were from the same breeder), I can imagine, that getting 2 together would make them rehome better and leave out the stress of having a newbie in one`s territory.
Then again, our first kitten Atari is clearly more attached to us, as the second one`s (who joined us later) first trust still belongs to Atari.

Thanks for all your responses. I am actually going to pick up my new son on Saturday and the breeder sent me photos of another little girl that looks just like his twin. I'm still undecided about getting both, but after seeing their pictures together want to see how they interact in person. I must say I'm leaning toward both. Will keep everyone posted. Don't want to be bogged down with the decision and not be able to enjoy finally getting him. Guess I'll make the decision on Saturday. HELP
