this is certainly my concern. i live in west yorkshire and im sure many of you will have heard the terrible story about that poor baby killed by the family dog locally to me.

I hate most of the local dog owners and that is not a word i use lightly. I have seen children being chased by loud dogs "running wild". however these are the same dogs who i see being kicked for running up to their owner to greet them.

probably 50% of the local houses have a dog, normally something along the lies of a staffie, or rottie. and a more poorly trained group of animals i have never seen. It kills me because i know that they could be lovely dogs if trained, and well cared for but instead they terrorise the neighbourhood.

i personally think that local councils should be entitled to make "obedience classes" mandatory for any dog that has a number of complaints registered against it. at least that would ensure that people could not use ignorance as an excuse for a badly behaved dog

Unfortunately some people don't want a well trained dog, they want them to be a bit scary so that they do terrorise the neighbourhood and show how "hard " they, their owners are.
Some are using the dog as a knife or a gun.

Yes Sherark, I agree there are some excellent Bengal breeders, not forgetting the established ones on this forum such as Nordiquestar, Junglerose, Chataya & Jesmewlan. You couldn't wish to find more caring & ethical breeders who are so willing to share their knowledge & experience so readily!

Got my babies from Luke and Heidi at Nordiquestar. SO dedicated to the breed. Couldnt wish to find 2 nicer people. There for you before and after and in my case even when they didnt breed my first bengal and he died. Still cant thank them enough for that.
Would recommend them to anyone
