hehe ann, i know your liking of gogees lines...i've got three matings lined up when the girls call, one of which is a hopeful development of white tummies between my maisy & a very nice, well known gogees lad who is currently in the UK.

i'll leave it at that to wet your appetite, until i get some action! hehe

To cut long story short, after months of research I decided I'd love any kittens from (Forestgems) Paddy and Polly's boy Banner. The combination of their easygoing, homebred philosophy and the gorgeous Banner really cinched it for us.
(I also wanted plenty of Millwood and Gogees in their pedigrees  )

As far as the actual choices were concerned we let P&P choose for us as we trust them implicitly and they knew our personalities and what we were wanting from our pets. Also, it's a 4 hour round trip from our place so frequent visits really weren't possible. After they were a bit older and showing their spots Paddy sent an email with 20 photos  showing Bungee and Pepper. They couldn't have chosen better monsters for us!

Carmen :D

After a lot of careful thought and discussion, we decided to get a kitten. I had my heart set on a Bengal, and Chris agreed. We had to check with our landlord first, and luckily he said yes, so I started looking around the internet to see what I could find.

I was in Wales at the time, but as luck would have it we found a breeder with a litter only 2 weeks away from being ready to take home. The following Monday, 11th June we went to visit them and fell in love with a Brown Spotted Bengal nicknamed Little Bear. He was born along with his siblings on 21st March 2007, and he came home to live with us on Saturday, June 21st.

After a trip to Brighton earlier that week and parking by a restaurant called Moshi Moshi, - a name we found quite amusing, we changed Little Bear’s name slightly to Moshi Bear.

Moshi came from a litter of five, and the smallest of the litter to be born in that litter was a Blue Eyed Snow Bengal called Indiana. He seemed determined to come home with us, and Bengals do live better in pairs. Despite his best efforts to climb into my handbag, we left with just Moshi.

Now some people would call what happened next luck, others would call it fate. About 3 weeks after Moshi had been living with us I got a note from the breeder. Their personal circumstances had changed, and because we’d kept them up to date with Moshi and they could see he was looked after they were prepared to let us have Indiana at a discount. A substantial discount in fact!

I asked Chris if we could get him, and initially he said no. Luckily for me though, and Indiana, after a day or so to think about it he agreed that we could have Indiana. So, on Saturday 14th July, one cat became two as Indiana moved in with us.

The first day was a nightmare, with them fighting and hissing at each other. They certainly didn’t seem to be sharing the brotherly love they had the first time we saw them. After a couple of days though, they settled down and are now best buddies rarely leaving each others sides. Moshi is also a much calmer and more grown up little fellow since Indiana’s arrival, supporting the theory that two Bengal’s are better than one!

Well for me, i've always had a fascination with big Cats, I've grew up Watching Wildlife photographer Simon king grow into the amazing person he is, showing the grace & raw power these big cats have along with the tradgey that oftens happens in nature...

About a year ago friend showed me some pics of her brown spotted bengal..I was mesmerised! in March this year i bought my first & once I was settled in I thought i needed a companion & began looking for Bengals, I found a breeder in Lincolnshire...walked into the pen & there she was ... the rest is they say is history...

She is my life my soul... So hence by the spring or very early summer she will have a ikkle furry friend to be a granny for!

We had a lovely rescue cat for 12years, but she became very ill and died. Then we adopted a 'no longer wanted' russian blue from a neighbour, but within a few months he died too. :( We intended to take another rescue cat, but in the meantime, I moved my ponies to a new stableyard. One day I heard '3, 4, 5....' !!! I wasn't aware, but these numbers were actually kittens being born in the house near the stables. The owners of the yard owned and bred bengals. When we saw some pictures, Rick, and I were very taken by these gorgeous kitties. We went to see the litter when they were older, and I, of course immediately fell in love with the 'runt', (who was being bottle fed as he kept getting pushed out of the milk bar). I said nothing, but after we visited a few times, I said could we have him pleeeeez, hubby said yes. When I 'tested the water' about having two kitties, this received a frosty response. However, the night before we were to pick up Tum-Tum, Rick rang up and asked if there was another boy left, and could we pick both up the next day. We were lucky as there was a boy left, and so we brought them home!! :) :) :)

We got 'Saffi' from a lady with loads of cats. We've always been against buying from breeders as all our previous cats were from rescue homes etc and we have strong feelings that all cats should be neutered/spayed simply coz there are a lot of unwanted ones in the world already... just look at the CPL/RSPCA centres to see it. :(

Anyway... we have absolutely no regrets getting her and she was loved from the moment we saw her. It only took a week for her to stop hissing at our other 'moggy'...bless him and now they are the best of friends and love curling up together... AWWWW!
