Welcome to the forum. You are talking some large rosettes in this kitty. There isn't much to contrast really. This baby will be gorgeous. Note bengals are warm-pelted or cool-pelted. Warm-pelted bengals have much more contrast than cool-pelted. That does not make them any less beautiful or desirable.

Thank you! Glad to hear he will be gorgeous as he’s on the pricy side. I’m so excited for him. I was just worried his rosettes would end up blending into his background as I’ve read their background color darkens with time. This is my first Bengal.

I don’t plan on taking him to shows, I’m just a little weird lol. At the end of the day I’m paying over a grand for a good looking, healthy, active cat, not an ordinary cat. Just making sure I’m getting What I’m paying for. His personality is the perfect combination of sweet and playful. Who knows maybe I’ll end up at a show one day. ;)

I paid extra for Bryan because he was apparently "show quality". I really didn't give 2 hoots about that, it was just that out of the 13 kittens the breeder had at the time he was the one that just kept coming back to me and crawling in my lap.
I found out later the following week when I went back to pick him up after his neutering that the breeder wasn't actually planning on selling him, she was going to keep him as a stud. The breeder and her daughter had been so taken aback by the attention and affection that he had shown me that they decided he could go with me. Apparently whenever others had been over to view the kittens he didn't want anything to do with them, so when he showed such an interest in me, they thought it was meant to be!
I did end up taking him to a show, just to see how he would go. He ended up with best of breed and 3rd in overall. I haven't taken him to anymore shows though because he just didn't seem to love it.
At the end of the day it was just about him being my best buddy.....I really couldn't care if he is show quality or not.

Same, I don’t know a thing about being show quality, I was using terms like spots and contrast because I don’t know the show standards. But I want my cat to look nice and show rosettes and make sure they don’t completely fade because that’s what I’m paying for. If I wanted an average looking cat with average energy and intelligence that got along with me I’d go to a local shelter. I mean, isn’t this why questions are allowed? I may or may not take him to a show, but I’ll take him on walks every day, show him tons of attention since I’m lucky enough to not have to work, and I care about what he looks like, is that so wrong? I mean, I’m not the only person who doesn’t want a ticked coat for 1,500

$1,000 is not a lot for a bengal. I know breeders that charge $1,800 for a pet quality. You are paying for a purebred cat -- not necessarily the pelt. The number one thing to consider is personality of the cat. The temperament. Not what the cat looks like. The picture shows a cat with huge rosettes. The cot will not change a whole lot over time. I know you will love the cat regardless.

Very beautiful! I’m paying 1,500 not 1,000 plus a delivery fee. From what I’ve read it is expensive for a pet but I’m not an expert. Thank you for all the info, I’m sure I’ll be in love regardless.

And that's the way it should be. Please know that ALL bengals are beautiful -- their pelts are spectacularly soft. Their patterns are so unique. I know you will be pleased with how your little one turns out. I ran across Pocket Leopards website yesterday and they charge $3,500 for a bengal -- of course, their kittens are really show quality. As long as you are getting papers for your kitten that shows it's a purebred pedigree and the kitten has no health issues, then you are getting your money's worth. Can't wait for you to post more pictures.
